Welcome to Healthy Life Home Spa (HLHS)!
Hello … Peter James here. Thank you for visiting my site and supporting this new venture.
I am truly, deeply grateful for your time as I compete against the big box giants. My wish is that you find the perfect products to enhance your good health and overall well-being - as you seek to relax, renew, and heal your Body, Mind, and Spirit.
Please know that I have curated these products with my eye on three (3) things: 1) quality, 2) price, and 3) place of origin.
Wherever possible, I seek to offer organic, vegan, cruelty-free, and paraben-free products with best practices guiding the manufacturing process.
I bring to this new venture a life well-lived thus far, and ask for your indulgence as I share a bit about myself because folks often ask.
Born and raised in the suburbs of Western New York, I grew up in a happy, hard-working middle-class family with two (2) older brothers and parents who both worked full-time. A love of learning led me to excel in school, earning a Bachelor's degree in Interpersonal Communication and a Master's degree in Speech Communication Theory and Rhetoric.
After graduation, my curiosity about the world took me first to Australia and then to Asia, where I spent 14 years teaching English at language centers, a community college, and international businesses, including PricewaterhouseCoopers in Hong Kong.
Seeking a more hands-on way to help people, I returned to Australia to study Massage Therapy for 1 and a half years, then worked in five-star spas throughout Sydney for 2 and a half more years.
After 18 years abroad, I returned to the United States and made Las Vegas my home, where I taught massage for ten years, while continuing to practice it. My journey across continents and cultures has shaped a service philosophy rooted in care, connection, and a deep understanding of what good health and self-care truly mean.
Now, more than ever, we need to calm and align our body, speech, and mind as we navigate the stresses of our fast-paced lives.
As my massage career winds down, Healthy Life Home Spa is my way of continuing to help all people (and yes, there are products for your kids & pets, too!) cultivate healthier, happier, and more balanced lives with a range of curated products that support these goals.
